A website is not finished at launch. Updates, backups and security checks are the difference between a site that lasts and one that quietly falls apart. Based in Dundee, working with businesses across Scotland and the United Kingdom.
From £32.50/monthStarting price. Final cost depends on what the project needs.
Businesses without anyone to keep the site current
Owners who would rather not log into WordPress
Anyone whose site has not been updated in a year
Businesses that need small changes now and then
Shops where a broken checkout costs money the same day
What it solves
Plugins two years out of date, which is how most sites get compromised
No backup, or one nobody has tested restoring
A form that stopped delivering and nobody noticed
Small text changes waiting weeks because nobody has time
A site that is offline with nobody watching

Security considered from the start.
Maintenance is largely security work: keeping core, plugins and themes current, checking administrator accounts, confirming backups are running, and reviewing configuration. Out-of-date software is the most common way a small business website gets compromised, and it is entirely preventable. Where relevant, development practices take recognised guidance from organisations such as OWASP and the UK National Cyber Security Centre into consideration.
Standards and guidance this work follows
Not a certification claim. These are the published references the work is measured against, so the decisions are somebody else's tested thinking rather than only mine.
National Cyber Security Centre
UK government guidance on small business security, account protection, device management and backups. Used as the reference point for what good practice looks like.
OWASP
The Open Worldwide Application Security Project. Its guidance on authentication, access control, input validation, session handling and safe error messages informs how anything with a login or a form is built.
Information Commissioner’s Office
UK data protection guidance. Shapes what a form asks for, how long information is kept, what a privacy notice says, and how cookies are handled.
Following recognised guidance is not the same as holding an independent certification, and none is claimed here.

Common questions
What does website maintenance include?
Hosting, updates to WordPress and its plugins and theme, backups, security checks, uptime monitoring and small changes. The exact limits are agreed in writing beforehand.
Do I need it?
If nobody is currently applying updates, yes, and more urgently than most people realise. Out-of-date plugins are how the large majority of small business sites get compromised.
What counts as a small change?
Text edits, swapping an image, adding a page section, updating opening hours. Building a new feature would be quoted separately, and you get told which it is before it is done.
Do you maintain sites you did not build?
Usually yes, after a look at what state it is in. Occasionally a site is in poor enough condition that fixing it first is the honest recommendation.
